The ASI-16 Basic All Sky Imager is an automatic fullsky camera system with a 180° field of view. Itprovides high-resolution images, both aspre-scheduled network stored JPGs and as a videolive stream. The ASI-16 can take clear full hemisphericpictures of the sky, even under full sunlight conditions.The 5MP camera developed by Schreder CMS isprovided by EKO world-wide.With the optional Find Clouds software, cloudcoverage and cloud classification can be analyzed forphotovoltaic evaluation applications.Cloud base heightcan be measured with two ASI-16 cameras and theoptional Cloud Base Height (CBH) software. The CBHsoftware allows for the evaluation of cloud height inreal time. A stereoscopic method is applied to processtime synchronized images of two sky imagers and thelocal data (latitude, longitude, and elevation).The Basic model of the ASI-16 does not include anintegrated ventilator and heater system.
