The MS-713 all-weatherspectroradiometer in combination with MS-711 extendthe range to 2500nm and measure >98% of theintegrated solar-terrestrial spectrum.

For spectral measurement of the three irradiancecomponents (DNI, GHI, DHI) we took a differentapproach. A spectroradiometer with rotating ShadowBand (RSB) is an attractive alternative to aconventional 3 component sun tracker system. Justone spectroradiometer used for all measurementslowers the costs associated with the instrumentationrequired. Accurate DNI measurements can beobtained from a MS-711 Global spectroradiometer withRSB comparing with the MS-711 DNIspectroradiometer on a sun-tracker. The comparisonbetween the outputs spectral DNI from the twoconfigurations reveals a consistency in the method andthe measuerements of all 3 irradiance components.EKO will provide the RSB solution for allspectroradiometer models.
